Communication of environmental projects to engage stakeholders and new targets.

The activity

The NextJournalist project aims to train new creators and future journalists interested in environmental and social issues. Students are invited to develop a project, and the winners participate in a seminar led by LifeGate, gaining hands-on experience at national events, documenting them like real journalists.

Key achievements:
- 1,400 schools contacted
- 2 seminar days held at the winning schools
- 2 presentation events for the NextJournalist project (Earth Day and Cinemambiente)

The LifeGate editorial team guided the NextJournalist winners in covering the 2024 Earth Day event in Turin, where they produced original content published under their names on LifeGate’s channels.

Together with the winners, LifeGate:
- Curated and presented a press review of key daily news to the Earth Day audience.
- Produced a podcast featuring interviews with event guests.
- Published original social media content documenting the event.

Additionally, LifeGate organized an event at the Cinemambiente Festival, where the NextJournalist winners took on the role of journalists for a day. They:
- Collected testimonials from event guests.
- Created a podcast, an article, and original social media content, putting their journalism skills into practice.
